What is Ginger?

Ginger has been used for many years as an alternative medicine. The underground part of the stem; the Ginger Root is what the spice is made from.

Migraine Headaches: Drinking 2 tbsp of Ginger juice with honey, can help relieve migraines.

Toothaches: Keep a small piece of Ginger between your cheek and tooth. The Ginger juice should help get rid of the tooth pain.

Back Pain Reliever: Ginger can be a very good pain reliever. Mix a spoonful of Ginger juice  with Olive oil and massage over your skin and back. Leave on until morning and your back pain should be gone.

Weight Loss: Ginger helps with weight loss. It improves the digestive functions, but also has a thermogenic effect that activates the metabolism, making it a fat and calorie burner. Combine Lemon and Ginger together and you have one powerful fat burner.

Lemon alone is full of Vitamin C which makes it a very effective antioxidant, it promotes waste elimination and detoxifies the body. Start trying to incorporate Ginger and Lemon into your recipes and watch the weight start falling off.

Lemon & Ginger Tea: Steep a small slice of Ginger for about 5 minutes in 1 cup of boiling water (keep covered). Add the juice from 1 Lemon and drink. This should be drank everyday before breakfast.

Ginger Lemonade: Prepare Lemonade as you normally would, except DO NOT USE refined sugar for sweetening. Add 1 tsp grated Ginger. Drink before breakfast.

Lemon Ginger Salad Dressing: Peel a handful of Ginger and mix together with the juice of 1 Lemon. Add to your favourite salad.

Ginger and Lemon combined also helps purifying your body and strengthen the immune system.
