The Ultimate Bacon Jam Recipe

The Ultimate Bacon Jam Recipe

Bacon Jam sounds WEIRD? Maybe, but it is so dang Delicious !!

Place bacon on 2 tin foil lined baking trays and cook on 400 F for 20 to 25 minutes. You want this pretty crispy but not burnt. Place cooked bacon on paper lined dish. Reserve the bacon grease.

Then add the crumbled bacon and stir. Next add the beer ( you can also use water )

Cook for about 15 minutes, until the bacon is a nice dark brown color and the sauce is jam consistency. Adjust flavors to your liking ( sweeter? add more honey, spicier? add more pepper flakes etc..)

Recipe Notes

If it isn't to the consistency you want it. What I do is put the jam into the food processor and grind until you want it.

    • I hadn't heard about it until last week, I thought it was the strangest thing lol. But WOW, adding it to Pierogi's made them AMAZING! Plus the other night I was trying to come up with a new idea for dinner and how to incorporate it into in. I made Smashed Potatoes with Beef (recipe will be up sometime this week) I added a cup of the bacon jam to the smashed potatoes with 1/2 cup shredded cheese and milk and butter.. They were so good :) tasted like a loaded baked potato but with a little zing of red pepper and the delicious sweetness of the honey and brown sugar. Im now trying to think of other food to use it with lol.
